PIP review a year before award expires was created by Teddington
Hi,
I want to ask this as a separate topic if that's ok.
I received my 'how disability effects you form ' for my review. It is in my award letter that saying 'we will contact you a year before your award ends'.
I filled this form and sent it off to DWP. Meantime I couldn't get the supporting letter from my regular GP.
A day later; I received my letter from my GP (my luck) and I sent that letter to the DWP on the same day with covering letter.
Today; I received a letter from Atos (I had my first medical with Atos) saying 'DWP has referred my claim to them '. I checked the date on the letter; Atos sent the letter to me on the same day that I sent my GP letter to the DWP. So obviously, when Atos wrote that letter to me , they didn't have my GP letter.
Atos letter just says; they will look into my claim and decide if I will get medical assessment or not .
When I first applied; I didn't get this type of letter; I just received an appointment letter from Atos.
My questions is; Will DWP pass any additional info to Atos meantime? Will DWP forward my GP letter to Atos or should I send my GP letter to Atos too?
I really don't know what to do. It's been such a stressful time for me like anyone else on here.

Thank you so much for your help

Hi T,

I wouldn't rely on DWP forwarding the G.P. letter to ATOS, I would forward copy to ATOS myself.

Better for ATOS to end up with two copies of the letter than none at all.

If you end up having an assessment, I would also take a copy to that and hand it to the assessor before the assessment begins.

Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
