PIP COMMUNECATING VERBALLY was created by woodsie
Hi Guys!
Quick question about communicating verbally descriptors for PIP.
I am severely sight impaired, with a hearing impairment.
I am not sure if i got this right; when my PIP application was submitted. If you can clarify it might help me and others.
Question.
Do you use an aid or appliance to communicate with other people.
I put yes; a pair of hearing aids.
however, i also use a text to speech engine to understand whats written and turn it into verbal communication does this count as well?.
I tried to understand the thinking behind the wording in the PIP guide; but i am confused?
Thanks for any responses in advance.
Regards

You could mention the text to speech engine, I assume that this is a computer app, so you would need to make it clear that your options for using it are limited to when you are on your computer and not when you are away from it.

The PIP Claim guide is on the following link
