ESA3 Decision was created by buzz3
I got my ESA3 decision today and was told I just had enough points (18) to get in the WRAG.

I do not want to be there what do I need to do to get into the support group.
They did not state at my medical what they were doing. I thought it was the new computer controlled one but in fact it was based in the ESA50 I filled in nearly a year ago.

Please help,

Hi b3,

I have been looking at your previous posts : Here and Here, and it seems that you are still somewhat confused.

An ESA 3 Form is used to financially assess you to see whether you are entitled to Income Related (IR) ESA and nothing to do with which group that you are placed into. (WRAG or SG)

I remember your post from the 2nd link above that you were awaiting a phone call from The DWP.

I assume that you have been told that you have been placed into The WRAG ?

Have you received the WRAG Decision Notice letter yet ?

If you have, you have one month from the date of that letter to request a Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) of the WRAG decision to be placed into The SG.

You need to formally request The MR in writing to arrive back at the DWP no later than one month after the date of The WRAG Decision Notice letter :

Sending Documents to the DWP.

You will have to show how and why you should qualify for The SG rather than The WRAG.

See : Qualifying for the Support Group

&

ESA Claims Guides 3rd and 4th links down the page.

We also have guidance on requesting an ESA MR/Appeal on : This Page.

If you have any further queries after reading through the information from the links above, please reply to this topic and we will try to help further.

Hi b3,

If you feel that the information that they referred to in The ESA50 that you filled in nearly a year ago is not current and applicable to your medical conditions and resulting limitations at the time of The WRAG decision, you can challenge on that as well, and provide current information as part of The MR Request.

Hi Bro 58,

I have now got the decision letter. Do you want a copy?
If yes where do I send it to?

Thanks

Hi b3,

No thanks ! :)

ESA Decision Notice letters are pretty standard.
