Hi

My son has a DLA award until January 2016. He turned 16 in May and I was asked to claim PIP for him.

I did this and sent the forms last week.

I phone on Friday to check receipt and was advised not received yet and to call back end of this week.

Today I received a call from DWP regarding my PIP application for Charlie- she said she had couple of questions- when finished she told me she would forward report on.

What does this mean?? They obviously received the application but it seems very quick

Thanks

They will have forwarded the report to an Assessment Provider (AP), either ATOS or Capita depending on where you are, for an assessment t be carried out, tis may be a face to face at the AP's offices or one in your home or depending on the information that you have supplied, it may be possible to make a recommendation without them seeing you son.

Hello - update, I received a letter from atos so I called to check what the phone call was for.

They advised me they assessed him on Monday (day of call) and sent back to DWP same day.

So quick, may not be a good sign

We don't really have enough information on how PIP claims with no assessment are being handled at the moment, hopefully you will be contacted in the next couple of weeks about the Decision.
