My daughter has a PIP medical assessment coming up soon. Because she gets in a panic on such occasions I usually attend with her. I am 70 now and have some serious health problems that means that I might not be around for her next assessment (assuming this one goes well). 
My question is: Can TWO people be at the "medical" with her?
I would like her partner to be there this time so that he can "learn the ropes."

There is nothing that specifically limits the number of people who can attend with the claimant although the where it is mentioned in the DWP documentation they use the word "companion" (single) and I seem to remember that there was only two chairs in mine, but that was many years ago.
I would suggest that you contact Maximus to explain the situation and seek their authority in writing (or email), a reasonable compromise might be if your sit with your daughter as an active companion and her partner, on this occasion, sits at the back of the room as an inactive one.
