PIP TRIBUNAL HEARING was created by bassettsfarm
Hello All,
I know this isn't a chat type of forum, so please forgive me if I'm asking for something wrong, but I have received a date for my PIP tribunal hearing, and it's next Tuesday. I am getting myself in such a state about it, and I wondered if any other members who've been through the same thing could give me an idea of their experiences to hopefully calm me down and put my mind at rest somewhat.

Your question is perfectly OK and other members can comment as they wish.
As it its a PIP Tribunal there will be three members on the panel, in the centre will be someone acting as the Judge, they may actually be a judge or a lawyer, on one side will be a doctor and on the other will be a lay person with experience of disability issues.
Most of the questions will come from the Doctor and to a lesser extent the lay person, the Judge may ask you questions but will spend most of the time taking notes about what is said.
They will ask you about your day to day activities and in particular the problems you have, their questioning should not be aggressive but it will be firm, You'll be given a period at the end of the hearing to raise any points that you wish to make and to clarify anything that you think that they may have misunderstood.
