Transfer to ESA was created by reddragon
My OH's fixed term for IB ran out in August 2011. Anyone have any idea as to how the rollout is at the moment for ESA50 being sent out. He's 62 by the way.
It's just that neither of us are well enough to fill it in at the moment and the panic from the thought of the dreaded brown envelope coming through the door is making life worse.
I realise that the dreaded form can't be far away.

The transfer of IB claimants to ESA should have been finished last April, there is no revised timescale for the project to be completed.
Your husbands IB will remain in payment even though he has passed the stated end date.
All I can suggest is for him to contact the DWP to see if they have any idea when he might be transferred.
ESA: 0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA. (Open 8AM-6PM. Mon-Fri.)
