Just to remind you that the figures you quoted are weekly!
An ESA(CB) claim is you name only so any pension income from your partner will not be taken into account.
The following is based on your continuing to receive ESA(CB)
IIDB should not be deducted from your ESA,
Providing you continue to meet the criteria for PIP after 65 or State Retirement Age (SRA), whichever is the later, then you will continue to receive it.
ESA is only payable until you reach SRA.
IIDB appears to have no age restrictions so should continue to be paid.

I wonder if you could explain the sentence "IIDB should not be deducted......". I don't understand what you mean. It would be the back injury which would be the reason I should be in the support group, but other things are also part of my PIP claim. Would this mean the IIDB would be fully discounted from any ESA(CB)?
Also, is it better to claim IIDB when I am still working or after if I am awarded any ESA (CB), or does it make no difference (apart from receiving the benefit sooner if it is awarded)?
Thanks again for your help.

Hi EDM,
What Gordon is saying that if you are awarded IIDB it will not have any adverse effect on your CB ESA payments, i.e. there will be no deductions from your CB ESA due to IIDB.
As an aside, IIDB is classed as income for IR ESA means test purposes, and would be deducted £ for £ from any IR ESA entitlement.
You can apply for IIDB any time.
If you are in a Union, your Work Union Rep may be able to advise on this further.

IIDB should not be deducted from your ESA,
"however if you are making a new claim then the DWP may offset any IIDB award against your ESA if your injuries are the basis of your ESA award."
as this seems to me to contradict
"if you are awarded IIDB it will not have any affect on your CB ESA payment, i. e. there will be no reductions from your CB ESA due to IBD."
Can you explain it me me, as I am finding it difficult to understand?
Thanks!

Hi EDM,
I am sure Gordon will respond when he can.
If you are to claim : IIDB I would do so sooner rather than later.
This will ensure that you do not lose any IIDB entitlement due to time limiting of any back payments.

Ignore it. I was thinking of Compensation Recovery but the ESA does not come under this heading so you would be paid both (IIDB and ESA(CB) without them affecting each other.
