Now, I have applied for ESA income related and the claim was in my favour; but, Even if I passed a PIP assessment three months ago DWP ask me to do WCA in order to make a final decision.
My questions are?
Why I have to do this work assessment again how long my PIP just started and was based (related) to my incapacity do any other work?
Which is your advice and what you will suggest me to do?
My diagnostic according to specialist is :
-Multilevel lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration with associated protrusive degenerative disc components
Also according to psychologist I suffer from a severe depression and my CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapist) refer me to the pain management group service.
Thanks for your assistance.
Best Regards

Hi F,
Welcome to Benefits and Work

That is because PIP and ESA are two totally different "Benefits" with totally separate qualifying criteria.
ESA only assesses you capability for work and work related activity.
ESA is an "out of work" benefit !
PIP assesses you Daily Living/Care needs and any limitations that you suffer in "Moving Around" or "Going Out".
PIP is classed as an "in work" benefit, and you can actual work full time whilst receiving PIP.
You will have to fill out an ESA50 Questionnaire, at least, and if you can provide enough evidence with that, there may be no need for a face to face assessment, and they may make an award on the paper evidence alone.
You should read through our : ESA Claims Guides and even if you have not yet received your ESA50, you could make a start by :
Using The PDF Version Of The ESA50 Questionnaire
Whilst referring to the guides on this page, 3rd & 4th links down :

To sum up, even though you have a PIP Award, you will still have to go through The ESA WCA.
