short break for person in esa support group

Is it allowed to take a person in esa support group on a short break twice a year in Great Britain?

Also is it permitted to take a person in the esa support group to visit an elderly relative in very poor health and stay in nearby accommodation because of the distance?

Lastly is it permitted when attending hospital appointments/tests to stay in accommodation nearby when the journey cannot possibly be completed in one day? Thanks

Hi DP and welcome to the forum. On the assumption that you are also new to the site, this link should help you find your way around.

Welcome to Benefits and Work

It is perfectly acceptable to make any/all of the visits that you have mentioned. However, DWP are supposed to be informed if an ESA claimant is away from home overnight.
