pip renew was created by peter
daughter in law awarded pip for 2 years ending sept 2016, but last week got a new claim form stating they are to renew it now, filled forms in and sent them off, she now has to go for a medical where before she was acest at home, she can hardly walk and on crutches, can she ask to have her consultation at home or does she have to go there place for it, she was only awarded the pips in jan this year so only had 8 payments before they want to see her again, surely this cannot be right. thank you

Hi p,
As reiterated in This Topic it is the norm to receive PIP renewal/review forms 12 months before the end date of a PIP award.
You don't say who the PIP Assessment provider is, :
Contact Capita.
Or
ATOS
You could contact the appropriate Assessor and query why they have not provided a Home Assessment this time, when they did so last time, especially if your DIL stiil suffers from the same limitations as last time.
They may well insist that she gets her G.P. to Fax them with a letter supporting a Home Assessment giving reasons.
