Fit note while appelaing was created by Scotboy
Hi can anyone confirm if I should still be sending doctors fit notes during ESA mandatory consideration and appeal, although have to sign onto jobseekers at same time? thanks

You do not need to provide a Fit Note while receiving JSA, in fact, sending one in may cause problems with your JSA and could result in your claim being closed, leaving you with no income.

If you go on to appeal, then once your appeal has been accepted by the Tribunal Service AND the DWP have received notice of this then you can switch back to the ESA Assessment rate, this will need to be covered by a Fit Note for payment to occur, ideally from the day after you were found Fit for Work and at least from the day after you close your JSA claim.
