DLA TO PIPS

I have a life time dla award and was 65 on 05/04/2013 will I have to claim pips.

Hi d,

As you were 65 years of age on 08/04/13, you should not be invited to claim PIP, and should remain on DLA as long as you continue to fulfil the DLA qualifying criteria.

Thanks for your reply as I thought the same but the reason I asked was because I read the post below and it conflicted with what I thought.

As for claiming PIP, this depends entirely on when you became 65 years of age. If it was before 8th April 2013, you will have to claim PIP, if it was since that you can continue on DLA.

Oops, sorry - I got my befores and afters mixed up!
