Hi sorry to trouble you , I was transferred from sda to esa support group nearly two years ago with a great deal of help from your site but I was not told on what grounds or for how long , I have looked on site but cant find out who to contact for answers to these questions, and if I did contact them would it promt them to look again at my award . Thank you
ESA is not awarded for a set length of time, it is an open-ended benefit that can be reassessed at any stage once 3 months has passed since the decision was made. However, DWP do document the 'prognosis' which indicates when reassessment can be expected. If you phone DWP this should be on your computer screen and they will tell you. Doing so will not put your current award at any risk.
