If a claimant of income-based ESA is living with his retired parents, are their pension payments classed as income in terms of his claim?

They should not be considered part of his household so their income is not relevant.

A claimants household is their partner (not necessarily spouse) and any children still in full time education, although some benefits have specific rules about the latter.

Living with his parents would have an impact on payment of the Severe Disability Premium if eligible.
