ESA decision was created by Goodlife
My husband had medical for ESA last Wednesday. Got text Monday to say he had been put in a group, letter sent. Not received letter yet but got letter from local jobcentre today (friday) with appointment to see adviser as he was in WRAG group!! Rang DWP and they gave details over phone he definitely in WRAG for 12 months. They said letter posted out Tuesday this week but will send a duplicate out.

Questions :-
Decision very, very quick. Medical Wednesday afternoon with Decision following Monday.
Presume if want to ask for reconsideration we will now only have 3 weeks to get all inform from DWP and to submit this.

He wants to get back to work as soon as he is able so may not want to challenge decision but I am worried he may not be well enough just yet and do not know system. He cannot go back to job he has done for last 15 years . If he goes along with WRAG what options does he have regarding Permitted Work. Confused at moment. Any advice appreciated

If your husband wants to challenge the Decision to place him in the WRAG then he needs to show that he meets one or more of the Support Group criteria, see the ESA Claim guides for more details.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1

There is a also a guide to Permitted Work on the above link. PW is something that the claimant can elect to do, they cannot be required to do it.

If he wants to challenge the Decision then have a look at our ESA MR and Appeal guide.

Thanks for that info. ESA is not something we know anything about. So glad the assistance is available when so many need it.
