Home visits for benefit reassessment was created by mischa
Hi, I've received a letter this morning from my local benefits office, stating that they will be visiting me at home to review my benefit claim. This is the first time I've ever received such a letter, and I was just wondering if anyone else has had one, and what I should expect from the visit. Xx

the DWP do carry out such visits on a random basis usually.

However they also do it if they have reason to suspect something undeclared, a change of circumstances or anonymous information received via their grassline.

I have had the anonymous information received visit more than once. The governments continual media propaganda war generates many fake calls to the grassline by people who want to be spiteful, mean or just horrid. It actually catches very few real tip offs but its all about the intimidation.
