Hi, My husband will soon be claiming esa when he is transferred over from IB and hopes to get into the support group due to severe mental health issues. He is doing a few hours work in his own home per week which his doctor and psychiatrist have agreed is therapeutic work as opposed to voluntary work. He is not paid for this. The question is will it need to be declared on the esa form as it does not mention therapeutic work just voluntary.
As you call this 'work' I assume that some level of payment is expected? In which case, this would come under the 'permitted work' rules and must be cleared with the ESA decision maker beforehand.
