Hi Lynsey!
Two things that might help.
First thing i forgot to say is Trekker Breeze has speech(they do cheaper sat navs but i don't think they specifically state PEDESTRIAN);convincing DWP or your need for using one is another thing altogether.
Secondly brainy dogs.
If this is a recognized assistance dog and you are already a tenant in a rented property they will have to come up with a VERY good reason for not allowing it (its not a pet its a mobility aid for a disabled person); however if you are an assistance dog owner looking to find a rental property in the private sector its almost impossible as it appears in this situation its at the owners discretion if they want to allow one!(I know Ive been looking for about 6 weeks for a new place and only one will accept us with a bigger deposit; people love guide dogs and say "aren't they remarkable animals but don't want one in my house!!!!)
Regards Matchseller.

Lynsey!
I forgot RNIB normally let you return most goods if not suitable for you to use! some things are excluded from this though;check before you buy;handy if something is not up to the job

I looked into the Trekker Breeze. I dont know if it would work for me as I have difficulty following verbal instructions. But maybe it would if it repeats itself. It's a lot of money to spend on something that doesn't work. But that's good to know that the RNIB do take returns. I will keep looking to see if I can find something else. Something with text would be good that would stay on the screen so I can read it. Or specialised software on my mobile specifically for folk wi brain injury - apparently there are apps that exist but I'm not very good with technology and I'm not up to date with all this!

My carer thinks a brainy dog would probably cause me more problems than it would help me. She's probably right.

Anyway, thanks again for your help.
