DLA to PIP was created by vivi
Hello
Are fixed term DLA awards now being selected at random for transfer to Pip,
like indefinite awards, or can I rely on keeping my DLA until the end of the fixed
term in July 2016?
Also I was awarded points for not being able to prepare and cook a meal for
mental health reasons, due to a long-term eating disorder...I know the rules have
changed with regard to Pip and cooking a meal. Do you think I can still get
points for this?
Thank you

I would expect you to receive an invitation to claim PIP around 20 weeks before your current DLA claim ends, so about January or early February of next year.
PIP still looks at a claimants ability to prepare and cook a meal and this can be for mental health reasons, but you would need to unable to do this at all to score sufficient points for an award on just this activity.
Have a look at the PIP Claim guide for details of the process and all of the criteria against which you will be assessed.
