Hi everyone, I was awarded higher rate dla until March 16, and low rate mobility indefinitely, my question is, filling this out now will I lose those dates for dla? That's 4 months away! I know it's harder to have an award these days, could my low rate mobility go too? Very worried!

Your DLA will remain in payment until four weeks after a Decision is made on your PIP claim even if the Decision is made after your current care award expires.

It's impossible to say how successful your claim will be, however, many members have struggled to receive a PIP Standard Mobility award (equivalent to what you currently have), so it will be very dependant on your issues and the evidence you have to support your claim. You also need to be aware that the intention of PIP is to reduce the disability budget by at least 20%, so the criteria for PIP are a lot stricter than those for DLA were.

Make sure you use the current PIP Claim guide which explains the process in more detail and explains the assessment criteria.
