Heffy wrote: Hi. Its 5 weeks since I sent my PIP completed form. I know we have had Xmas and New Year to delay appointments a bit and I expect I will hear any day. It does feel a long time to be kept waiting and wondering so just querying at point i should ring to see whats happening with my claim and who would I ring ie the DWP or the assessor. Or should I just sit tight and wait. Thanks, just feeling so anxious all the time and its not helping my health.
You'll cause no issues by phoning for an update, I'd start with the Assessment Provider and then phone the DWP if necessary.

If you haven't had a face2face then it seems they are going to make a decision based on just the paperwork.
It doesn't mean you will get what you think you are entitled to but it would seem harder for them to deny it without a face2face since in your appeal you would be able to refer to the fact that they didn't do one.
