My PIP claim form took 8 days to arrive and i am ploughing my way through it slowly and when i feel well enough which isnt often. It has to be back by 13th December so realistically I have to allow that bit longer this time of year with Christmas post and of course 13th is a Sunday, dont you think?. Perhaps up to a week before? My postcode is NN, does this means it is Capita who will look at it. Anyone any idea how long people are waiting on average for f2f assessments. I know it must vary from person to person, and area to area. Its just having someone around to be with me or accompany me with Christmas people will have plans if I get called as soon as before Christmas or between Christmas and New Year. I hope too for a home assessment and have expressed this in the form and why. Thank you.

If it looks like you will be unable to complete and return the PIP2 by the deadline, contact the DWP office that is dealing with you claim and ask for an extension.

Postcodes starting "NN" are covered by Capita.

Although Capita tend to assess claimants in their homes, they do not always do this, if you need a home assessment then you really need your GP to write to Capita explaining why you cannot attend at their office.

At the moment we are seeing assessments being booked within about two weeks of returning their PIP2 form or a lot later, I'm afraid we do not have any information that is at a regional level.
