I didn't 100% believe it when I read from other people that assessors make stuff up. I didn't think the disabled people were lying I just thought maybe there were things that had been taken out of context. But I can now add myself to list of people who have had assessors blatantly tell lies about htem.
Taking steps towards mandatory reconsideration and have appointment with doctor and an advocate..
NOt really sure why I'm posting. So angry upset and insulted at the things that have been said.

Sometimes it just helps to make someone else aware of the problems you are having, so don't worry about the pots.

As a result I've now had to contact my college and tell them I wont be back to the course. I didn't say why. It is a bit embarrassing to have to say that I can no longer afford to pay for someone to navigate me to my class and back home again. And this is just a taste of things to come I know.
But this will make me even stronger.

Lynsey wrote: Thanks Gordon, I'm not even waiting for their mandatory rethink rubbish. I'm contacting my mp asap (as soon as I figure out how to do that) because the comments I got in this were totally unacceptable and ableist to say the least.

You need to be aware that a Mandatory Reconsideration is the defined legal process for challenging a Social Security Decision and your MP cannot interfere in a legal process, so I think it likely that you will end up having to request an MR anyway.
