 	 				washing from shoulder to waist was created by carole
  			 				Does washing from shoulder to waist also include the back, ie. if unable to wash back from the shoulder down to waist area does this score any points for PIP

  			 				I'd like to see a fit person wash their whole back

I think its just the front.

If you have a look at the PIP Claim guide you can see how the Activity is broken down into parts of the body, the back is not specifically identified but would be covered by the following;

6(f) Needs assistance to be able to wash their body between the shoulders and waist. 4 points.

You would need to explain what your limitation actually is, for example if you can wash your front but not your back then 6(f) would apply, but if you are also unable to wash your front then it would sound like 6(g) might be more applicable.

6(g) Cannot wash and bathe at all and needs another person to wash their entire body. 8 points.

Although the wording of 6(g) would suggest a gap between the two that you might need to give some thought as to how you fill.

Remember to consider using reliably and for the majority of days in your answer.
