Hello again

Can I ask please, if we assume the specialist's letter is gong to be fairly brief, what are the most important things that I need it to contain? I am expecting my son to qualify for mid rate care and mobility but not sure of level. Thank you

Under ideal circumstances you need the report to directly address the DLA criteria, so what care needs he has and for how long, for the mobility you need to think about whether he will qualify for Low or High Mobility as they are awarded for very different reasons.

I don't suppose that level of detail would be possible, I was wondering what points to prioritise when requesting the letter

Although a detailed response may be an ideal at a more basic level there is no escaping the need for the report to talk about his care and mobility needs, anything less than this is unlikely to carry much weight, especially with an illness such as ME/CFS.

If you have the option to influence the content, then you need to use it because it is unlikely that the Specialist will be contacted directly.
