had my pip assessment in November, was assessed for my ME by a young paramedic who scored me 11. I needed 12 to receive the higher rate of daily living allowance. !!! it begs the question really, and as I had read the sample questions for PIP and scored near enough maximum on every question, my score should have been over 12. when you tell somebody that you are unable to prepare or cook food due to numbness in both hands which means you drop things constantly, you burn yourself and you cut yourself, therefore it isn't safe for you to do this and your children do the cooking instead, and the doctors have said I need surgery in both wrists but there is a possibility that the surgery might mot work, who in their right mind would say that I could prepare and cook food with the help of an aid. REALLY... what aid would this be then, a butler. beggars belief but it was enough for her to award me with the lowest score instead of the highest. its all about the cuts and not what someone should be entitled to.
