I'm 67 years old, but still have to transfer from DLA to PIP. (Born 1st October 1948) At present, I'm in receipt of the lower personal care award, and higher rate of the mobility element of DLA. I've now received a letter telling me I have to claim PIP by January 7th 2016. How long after this date will I have to wait for a medical etc.

I would estimate 6-10 weeks, but it may be effected by where you are and the Christmas break
