There are several descriptors that apply to activities, such as preparing a simple meal, help with washing hair, getting in and out of bath and budgeting etc. that whilst help is needed when carrying out these activities, the activity itself may only take place say three times a week. My query is what is understood by "majority of the time". Is it that one needs help more than 50% of the time when one performs the activity or does one need to perform the activity itself more than 50% of a given time period i.e.. a week? Hope this makes sense as my brain is hurting!
Where activities are not carried out daily you need to cover two issues, how often do you attempt the activity and how successful you are when you attempt it, this should be done in relation to what would be reasonable for a healthy person.
So as an example; a healthy person may shower daily, Monday to Friday and wash at weekends.
You may attempt to wash daily and to bath and shower once a week, but in reality you only manage to wash weekly and bathe monthly.
On this basis you are only managing 1 in 7 attempts to wash and 1 in 4 attempts to bathe.
Of course a DM may argue that a healthy person does not need to shower daily, so you need to consider what would be a minimum for this activity and any others that you would expect to score points for and then argue from there.

Hi M,
Your PIP Assessor clearly didn't understand just how important a part of the PIP Assessment the "majority of days" factor plays !
