PIP MANDATORY RECONSIDERATION TIME FRAME was created by Samantha
I was shocked and dismayed to have my PIP cancelled following a reassessment and subsequently lodged a mandatory reconsideration request.
It has been nearly 6 weeks and I have had no reply from the DWP (although I sent it special delivery to ensure receipt).
Can you tell me what the current time frame is for a response to a mandatory reconsideration request is please?
Thanks

I would have expected you to have heard by bow, all I can suggest is that you contact the DWP for an update,
Gordon

Hi
I did likewise today and was informed a MR can take up to 8 weeks. But I'd call them anyway.

There seems to be huge differences in responses across the country.
We have had someone posting that the MR took place within a week without them even knowing and others like you waiting months just to be notified the request has been logged. There's absolutely no consistency.

I find it ironic that the PIP help desk pick up the phone quickly and after that the whole process slows down. I noticed it takes an age to get through to ESA help line. Perhaps the difference is getting people off PIP is priority.

Thanks all for your input. Just rang and they confirmed receipt but said it would be 8 weeks.
