I am currently receiving ESA (support group) and Housing Benefit. I've just found out that I will have to move house with very short notice, and at the moment I am considering either moving back in with my parents, or with friends, for a couple of months while I try to find somewhere more permanent to live. I wouldn't claim HB for those few months but then would need it again once I find a permanent place.
I was wondering if a) a change of address is likely to trigger a reassessment (I was assessed in September last year), b) if moving in with my parents will affect my benefits in any way, and make it harder to claim HB once I move out again, or c) if moving twice in the space of a few months will interfere with my claim in any other way.

Thanks!
There's no reason to assume that your moving will trigger a re-assessment of your ESA claim, just make sure that you keep the DWP informed of your plans in writing.
