Thus, if the award letter states the award will run to 2019, but the claimant will be reviewed on 2018, the PA4 shows the award is recommended until 2018.

It would be interesting to match those with PA4s to their award letters to see if that's more widespread - perhaps something for the site owners and mods to chew over ?

We already know that the vast majority of Fixed term awards are being re-assessed a year in advance of their renewal!

Yes, I understand that Gordon. Sometimes, I try to work out what the DWP is up too, and thats not a good place to be :(

It was the correlation of the early review, compared to the award period on the PA4 that struck me. If 100 award letters gave a start date of 2015 and an end date of 2019 (4 years), with a review period of 2018 (3 years) ... all compared with their respective PA4s, would the award length under "it would be appropriate to review" on the PA4 be three years ?

It's as if the assessor on the PA4 recommends X years, then the DWP DM adds one further year to the award letter, only to remove it for an earlier review.

Without seeing 100 award letters matched to their PA4s, any correlation is based on a few medical reports.

Replied by Trinity on topic how many reassessments can they send you on?
I can see I'm going to end up being sanctioned. :(

My sister called them to re arrange the assessment because she needs to come with me. I'm not able to leave the house alone. They did re arrange it but now she cant make that one either. She called today to explain that and they said they couldn't organise another appointment. She tried to explain to them that she has work but they didn't want to know.
I cant go alone. She asked them to visit me but they said no. Apparently DWP have told them I can leave the house alone, which is a bare faced lie!

I'm so scared now that they will stop the money. I rely heavily on that extra money to pay for treatment that the NHS doesn't cover.

I haven't filled in this PIP2, which I could really do with doing because my conditions have got worse. In fact ive got a whole new heart condition that's been diagnosed since the original claim went in.
I'll try and call them tomorrow to ask for a form. But they really seem to have it in for me so I cant see them letting me do it.

I'm already waiting for a tribunal date for the ESA because of a similar muck up on their part. I'm not sure I can deal with all this again.

If I could get a job and jack all benefits off I would gladly do it. Bit difficult to find an employer who will let you work from your bed though!

Hi
Your claim will be returned to the DWP saying you didn't complete an appointment for assessment.
You can appeal this.
You should also submit a formal complaint now to theDWP and the company doing the assessment saying you didn't receive any claim form with the notification of reassessment and you are entitled to submit a completed claim form before they sort out an appointment for the assessment.
You could also write to your MP complaining about the DWP.
