Hello! and a question re ESA 50

I am currently on ESA (support group) i am up for re-assessment and currently slogging through the ESA 50 using the Members guide (very handy!).
But, I'm stuck!
Part 1: Physical Capabilities - 4. Picking up and moving things
It says: Please tick this box if you can pick things up and move them without difficulty. It doesn't specify the weight of the item, so if you ticked the box it moves you onto the next question.
If you don't tick the box it moves on to ask you if you can pick up a one pint carton of liquid, then a two pint carton, then bizarrely an empty cardboard box!
Now, I can pick things up but there is a limit to the weight I can pick things up. I can easily pick up the three items that they mention but I wouldn't be able to pick up a sack of potatoes!
But by just ticking the first box which then moves you on to the next section am I opening myself up to the possibility of 'he can pick up reasonably heavy items?
Thanks for any help!

Hi AC,
Welcome to Benefits and Work

As with all the questions in The ESA50, if none of the tick box options cover the limitations that you suffer personally, do not tick the option.
Instead write something along the lines of "none of the tick box options are applicable, please see below (or on added A4 page number xx of xx) the limitations that I do suffer with respect to this activity"
Then write your comments in the text box and/or on an added A4 page.
Activity 4, Picking up and moving things, "relates mainly to upper limb power; however joint movement and co-ordination may also have to be considered. It is intended to reflect the ability to pick up and transfer articles at waist level, i.e. at a level that requires neither bending down and lifting, nor reaching upwards. It does not include the ability to carry out any activity other than picking up and transferring, i.e. it does not include ability to pour from a carton or jug."
More can be read about this @ Page 88 of : The WCA Handbook which gives guidance to Assessors when carrying out the WCA.
