PIP new claim was created by mollymoo
I have received my PIP 1003 form and I'm about to start the mind numbing process of filling it in' I've have had a quick look through the members factsheets . And wish me luck.

A brief description of my current health problems are, I have three prolapsed disks in my neck causing severe pain in the neck right shoulder, weakness in the right arm, hand grip and numbness in my right arm fingers, and a inability to raise my arm very far. I also have two prolapsed disks in my lower back, suffering from constant pain in my right leg for over ten years.

I just thought it would be nice too get a little help from members along the way and any input regarding what descriptors that I should concentrate on.

Thank You.

Hi mm,

Welcome to Benefits and Work :)

Whilst it is important to provide evidence of the Medical Conditions that you suffer with and have been diagnosed with, it is more important to list the limitations and needs that you suffer as a result of the medical conditions.

You should then tie in the needs and limitations with The Descriptor that is most appropriate to your limitations under each applicable PIP Activity.

You will be awarded points for the highest scoring Descriptor that you can fulfil from each applicable PIP Activity.

The following should help you to identify the Activities that are applicable to you and the Descriptors that you can score points under for each Activity :
