ESA Tribunal Descriptors was created by kimbles
Hi, hope somebody can help, i have an ESA tribunal coming up in 2 weeks. The CAB helped me fill in the SSCS1 form and only mentioned 2 points that i was querying the points values of, the DWP have specifically mentioned this in their papers and advised the tribunal to only look at these 2 points. Can I now only submit evidence on these points?
Thanks
Kim
Thanks
Kim

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Kim and welcome to the forum. This link should help you find your way around the site.
Welcome to Benefits and Work
The Appeal Tribunal are an independant body, not connected to DWP. As such, they can look at anything they like. In your position I would include all evidence relating to my claim, the panel will decide for themselves whether or not to consider it.

Hi K,
If the fact that you are Agoraphobic is some how the basis of your ESA Appeal, you need to take into account that how you manage the trip to and from The Tribunal Venue will be taken into account.
If you have extra evidence that you want The Tribunal to take into account, you should post it off to them ASAP, ideally so that they receive it no later that 7 days before the hearing.
Although, you can present 1 or 2 A4 pages of evidence on the day by giving it to The Clerk before the hearing.
If you are to present evidence on the day, you should make 4 copies of each page, keep 1 copy yourself and give the other 3 to The Clerk.
The following will give you some idea of the format of an ESA Appeal Hearing:

Good luck and please let us know how you got on !
