DLA to PIPS

DLA to PIPS was created by charmedone
I am a female 66 years of age well over the retirement age with chronic RA and Osteo Arthritis as well as chronic fatigue due to the RA plus other illness I am so worried at being piped My DLA was granted as indefinite. As a retired OT I don't suffer fools lightly but I must admit the thought of being piped by idiots terrifies me could somebody please explain to me were the cut off age of 64 comes from as women retired at 60 I don't under stand plus I miss out by 6 months to be piped do they just renew some and pick on others or are all people assessed

Welcome to Benefits and Work
Irrespective of whether you have retired, or of your applicable State Retirement Age, if you have a current Indefinite DLA Award, and were under the age of 65 on 8 April 2013 you will be invited to claim PIP at sometime over the next 2-3 year period, even if you are over the age of 65 when you are invited to claim PIP.
