ASSESSMENT NOT MEDICAL

Why do people still think they are going for a medical when they are not. Medical information is gathered to support the claim. The assessment is how your problems effect daily life not a medical examination. Do you, the admin, get annoyed by these going for a medical questions as I do?

No we don't get annoyed, (Honest !!!! ) or we wouldn't volunteer to be Mods !!

I think to the uninformed, it would be quite normal to expect a PIP or ESA face to face assessment to take the form of a normal "Medical Examination" even though it doesn't !!

However, I do wish that members would take the time to read our Members Only Guides and FAQ's prior to posting as doing so would probably answer their queries, therefore doing away with so many repeat queries regarding the same subject matter !!

I posed the question recently with regard to a forthcoming ESA Assessment, after reading on the members section the WCA Handbook. The giude if you read it, actually gives lots of advice on examinations for various health issues, to be undertaken by tbe health assessor! Which actually made me even more stressed, as it is my first claim for ESA.
