If in a question for ESA I tick the box that basically claims 15 points but upon reading my claim the assessor disagrees, then does the assessor automatically score me 0 (zero) or can they assess me as scoring a lower point score such as 6?

They can score you at whatever level they believe is appropriate, although you should remember that the assessor only makes a recommendation, it is the DWP Decision Maker that actually decides the points to award.
