I asked DWP for a MR for my PIP claim.
The letter I received back was headed as follows....

Personal Independence Payment
Your Personal Independence Payment Decision

I am aware the letter should possibly have been worded.....
Mandatory Reconsideration Notice Decision

My question being, is there any significance to the incorrect wording of this as I am about to send the copy of it to HMCTS along with my appeal?

Many thanks Cookie

Hi

Under the heading did it go into detail as in saying your original decision stands?
If the bulk of the letter proceeds as a MR of the first decision makers award then it probably isn't a big issue that it was incorrectly titled, although you could write to the DWP asking for clarification.
You should probably also make clear to HMCTS that it is your MR notice and is incorrectly titled by DWP.
