Pip claim from dla was created by deborah
Hi..my son has recently been discharged from a mental health hospital after being sectioned for 26 days..of all the times they are assesing him for pip and stopping dla..this is very worrying ..i cant actually tell my son as he is very unpredictable..he was diagnosed with none organic psychosis and have been told he is likely to need the medication for the rest of his life..will he have to go for a face to face assesment ?..im worried how he will react as his mood can change so quick from being calm to being quite angry ..my son is on dla for a different dissability as he was born with his fingers missing from one hand ..im not sure how to fill the form out as he has psychosis now aswell..any help ?
Thanks deborah

I'm afraid there is no way to predict whether he will need to have a face to face, the decision will be made by the Assessment Provider based on the level of information in the PIP2 and attached. It will help if you can include letters from his doctors confirming the risk if he is required to attend, The AP may request this information themselves, but they are not required to and often don't.

As to the PIP2, have a look at the PIP Claim guide on the following link

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
