ESA assesment was created by Susan Parker
Hello a year ago I applied for eas and was awarded the support group as I have cancer 12 months later I was asked to fill in a reassessment form I did
I filled out page 4 again
Do you have cancer yes box ticked
Recovering from cancer treatment yes box ticked
My GP filled in page 20
To say I was recovering from treatment still
She said yes it would impact my ability to work
Yes these side effects would limit ability to do all work
And that in her opinion I would not be likely to return to work
I then filled in the rest of the form because other medical conditions have arisen due to the chemo
I have been called in for an assesment is this normal as the answers given normally give rise to an assesment exemption should I appeal this

Hi

The DWP always reserve the right to obtain further evidence and this includes an assessment.

It may be because a year has elapsed andthey want to ask questions about your type of cancer and the effectiveness of the treatment etc. It is not possible to appeal against the assessment.
If they do not put you in the support group you will be able to appeal.
