ESA reassessment date was created by Mrs Doyle
I have been in the ESA CB support group for over two years now and have been driving myself mad worrying about a reassessment so I phoned the DWP and was told reassessment would be February 2018 ! What a relief.During this period my savings will drop below £10000 meaning I should apply for IR ESA,My worry is if I fill in the ESA3 form will this trigger a completely new claim with a new ESA50 and subsequent WCA and medical? I am single with no other income. Thanks for your help.

Hi
It doesn't neccessarily follow that they will require a whole new claim, just change you from CB to IR.

The cut off point for ESA(IR) is £16,000 not £10,000!
There's no reason why an ESA3 would trigger a re-assessment, but I can't guarantee that it won't.
