I have today received the HP report. The assessment was carried out by an OT and most of his observations relate to physical functioning. I have Asperger's, mental health problems and fibromyalgia.
Most of his justifications state "She has no current specialist mental health support and no open care plan under the care programme approach framework. I told the assessor that have currently been diagnosed as having severe anxiety and severe depression. I have had many sessions of CBT in the past which did not help. My local mental health service think that I would benefit from modified CBT but there are no services in my area offering this that they can refer to. The have signpostyed me to sources of. My case is still open to my local mental health team. I am also currently receiving support from a specialist autism advocate from a local mental health service.
Should I be penalised for not being in receipt of a mental health service if there is no service available?
No you shouldn't and this is a matter that you should raise in your MR, however, to repeat Bro's previous advice, you will only receive an award by showing that you meet the criteria so you need to go back to basics and make sure that this is the case before you go into the problems with the report.
