Reasons for requesting a change of assessment date was created by Linda
I am about to be called in for PIP Atos renewal assessment. If I ask to change the date what reasons are acceptable to them?I cant predict if I can attend as some days im not able to get out the house and depending on where and when would not be sure if anyone could take me there. I also have appointments scheduled with specialists for myself and my partner who I am a carer for. Is it reasonable to ask for a change of date if the assessment clashes with any of these long awaited hospital appointments?
Thank you in advance

There's no reason for you to have to provide a detailed explanation of why you need to change the appointment, a simple "it's not convenient" will suffice, but you do need to be aware that you can only move the date once, if you do not attend the second appointment then your file will be returned to the DWP and it is likely that your claim for PIP will be closed.
