I have difficulty going out - any appointments need to be spaced so that there is not more than one in the week.

Would this mean that DWP would refuse a home visit/go against me requesting one - the fact that all appointments can't be arranged as home visits eg: GP - hospital - welfare benefit form filling & necessitate me attending them?

Many thanks.

  			 				Hi
Its probably worth applying for one if you can get your GP to write a letter supporting your request.
Don't let the GP fob you off by saying they'll reply to a letter from DWP requesting info, this almost never happens. They must write one you can send in with your request.

I can't understand the criteria for a home visit (suprise suprise) ! Most of the advice is to ask your GP to provide a letter.

If my GP doesn't know me well enough and I don't know what reasons to point out to her .... oh I'm going in circles (again) trying to work it out.

It seems to me that whatever reason you give to the Assessment people, they don't consider your request unless you're housebound. And reading some of the posts on here, even then they take no notice !

  			 				Hi
Bearing in mind those other posts you need to think about exactly why you should warrant a home assessment.
Then you go to your GP and explain why you need a home assessment. Don't let them fob you off by saying they'll reply to a DWP letter as they won't write or contact them. You need the letter to put in with the form or send as soon as possible but make it clear one is coming.
There does appear to be an increase in the number of refusals by peoples posts.
It may contravene your equality rights to be denied.
