Home visit was created by albertjamesfogarty
I have been assessed in Atos Northampton for the last ten years and always successful on my Esa and Dla claims.
Suddenly this year Capita have just phoned to arrange a home visit for my Pip assessment.
Should I be suspicious of this as Capita use a Northampton centre and I did not request a home visit ?

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Capita cover the Northampton area for PIP, that's why it's not ATOS.

They obviously considered your conditions serious enough to warrant a home assessment, I wouldn't read anything more into it than that. For PIP, the assessment process in the claimants home is substantially the same as it is in the Assessment Providers offices.

The PIP Claim has a section at the back that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.

You are entitled to have someone with you and from your post you should certainly make sure that this is the case. I'm afraid if it has been decide that an assessment is required there is really no opportunity for you to avoid it.
