Today I am goin to try relax and have a meal, not had a meal since Saturday. As from tomorrow am going to concentrate on finding someone to go to assessment with me, can't go on own. What's the average wait to hear about call up for assessement? Doc has recommended home one, but I won't hold my breath. Also gonna write another letter ready for this assessment with any details I left out from the form, and my letter posted with it. Where can I find address where forms are sent, I forgot to make a note, is it Wolverhampton?
Also gonna start reading guide for appeals process. Need to be far better prepared for that than I was for the ESA50 arriving. Obviously I didn't know that was gonna land when it did, But i did know they had started the reassessments again and so could have renewed my b&w subscription and preparing myself for it in advance. Just beating myself up there, ha!
I have vowed that if I get through this in one piece I will be far more prepared for my next call up. I have no doubt they will be on my back trying to crush me again in the future. Good luck to everyone else going through all this!

Porthole Pete wrote: Hi. Finally the form has gone off. Am absolutely exhausted. Totally worried not put enough detail in. Ended up using info about walking from my last esa50 because just too worn/stressed to describe it any other way, even tho my walking has got a lot worse since then. Had to spend so much time trying to describe mental health issues while in panicked state am not sure I've explained properly. Did manage to get a more detailed letter from doctor right at the last min. So that was a relief.

Hi PP,
Well done on getting it posted back by the deadline !!

" What's the average wait to hear about call up for assessement?"
As you know, it is not a definite that you will have to take part in a face to face. If you haven't heard anything by the 4 week mark I would contact Maximus for an update.
"Where can I find address where forms are sent, I forgot to make a note, is it Wolverhampton?"
It may well be Wolverhampton, as nearly all DWP related mail goes via Wolverhampton, which has a massive DWP mail processing site.
You will need to : Contact CHDA aka(Maximus)aka (HAAS) for the exact address.
Good luck !

Could you kindly let us know once u get chance to read up on this when these changes will take effect? Thanx so much

Porthole Pete wrote: Hello, have been meaning to post this for a long time. At xmas my over generous Xmas bonus was not paid thru my ESA claim as it usually was, but paid thru my dla claim. Then couple of months after I am being reassessed for my ESA. Should I read anything into this or am I just being paranoid?

I wouldn't read anything into the payment of the Christmas Bonus.
It's important to understand that the WCA Handbook is guidance and nothing more, the legislation against which claimants are assessed has not changed, having been issued it applies with immediate effect.
