My hubby had his pip assessment (at home) we have now received a letter stating that he has been awarded DLA for another year!!! Do you think this is because they are behind with applications! Am really puzzled!!!

Hi P,

Are you sure this letter is not just the normal annual "uprating" entitlement letter that all DLA recipients receive around this time of year ??

Once you start the DLA to PIP transfer process, there is no going back to DLA.

However, as he will be paid his current levels of DLA until 4 weeks after the date of the new PIP decision, whatever that PIP decision may be, he is still entitled to DLA until then and would therefore still receive the annual DLA entitlement letter.

Another member was confused in the same way !

No this was a proper home assessment for pip!! Still paying the same Dla rate so no problem there! But stating he will be assessed again in February 2017!

It sounds as if your husbands DLA has been extended until a Decision is made on his PIP claim, this is quite normal.
