IMPACT OF PIP RESULT ON ESA RATING was created by vt1
I am currently in ESA support group and have been on DLA higher rate mobility for several years. During recent change to PIP I was awarded enhanced rate daily living, but no mobility component.
Can the loss of my mobility component have an impact on:
a) My remaining in the ESA support group? and/or
b) A reduction in my ESA payments?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi vt1,
No, this PIP decision will not prompt an ESA reassessment (although many people are being reassessed at the moment anyway). However, if your Support Group status was gained through the 'mobilising' descriptor you should give some thought to how you are going to deal with this when your reassessment does come round.
EDIT sorry, I had replied to this before I saw your second post with amendment. I think you can edit your post to clarify if you wish.

My brother had new ESA forms sent 1 week after a tribunal submission after MR upheld the original decision. Pretty sure the original app was August time so it's possibly related. We'll never really know i don't think.

Hi b1,
You shouldn't really tag your own questions onto another members topic.
Regarding your query, see : This Post in our Spotlight Area at the top of The forum.
If you have any further PIP queries can you please start your own topic.
