Industrial Injuries Benefit was created by AgeCymruSirGar
I have a client who has been in receipt of Industrial Injuries Benefit for the last 4 years. He was initially proved to have 14% disability. He has had yearly assessments with no change. He injured his eye at work, leaving permantent scarring (full depth of his cornea). His eyesight is damaged in that eye due to scarring. He wears specatcles to make his vision more tolerable. On a recent asseessment, the doctor in question has reduced his disability from 14% to 4% . There is no change in the condition of his eye.The mandatory reconsideration report states that he uses glasses to correct his vision. Does anyone know if the fact that glasses can slightly improve his vision make any difference to the actual injury he received whilst at his place of work. He did not need glasses before the injury.

I'm afraid we do not advise on Industrial Injuries Benefit, I don't know if the following will be of assistance;
